Container of Tears, Original

When I was a child, I learned how to hold back tears, but I have no memory of why this was important.  Even now, if something moves me deeply, the instinct is to control those tears, don't cry..... and so in way I have become a 'Container of Tears'.

Original painting: acrylic, colour pencil, monoprint, on paper, mounted to cradled wood panel & sealed with satin-matt varnish. Sides painted white.
